Job Description:

Lynx Technology Partners is seeking a skilled IT Capital Projects Consultant to work for one of our prestigious clients in New York City. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing master plans, Statements of Work (SOWs), and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) related to capital projects, identifying and managing IT resources throughout the lifecycle of each project. The ideal candidate will have the expertise to ensure that IT requirements and deliverables are defined, documented, and aligned with organizational standards across all phases of each project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Study master plans, SOWs, and RFPs to identify, quantify, document, and time-box all IT resources required for capital projects.
  • Time-box IT resources across all phases: Planning, Design, Build, and Support.
  • Request and secure IT resources needed to meet project requirements.
  • Define IT deliverables (both in-house and vendor-supplied), including project plans, product designs, functionality, drawings, diagrams, installation guides, source code, etc.
  • Ensure all IT requirements and deliverables are included in the Master Plan, SOW, and RFP as needed.
  • Keep IT requirements and deliverables up-to-date with current IT standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage the acquisition, deployment, and proper charging of IT resources throughout the project's lifecycle.
  • Ensure the delivery of quality IT work from project inception to completion ( cradle to grave ).

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with capital projects, SOWs, and RFP analysis, particularly related to IT resources.
  • Strong understanding of IT project management across the full lifecycle (Planning, Design, Build, Support).
  • Experience with resource management, including securing, deploying, and tracking IT resources.
  • Familiarity with IT standards, policies, and procedures, and the ability to apply these to project deliverables.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in both in-house and vendor-driven IT projects.
  • Prior work in capital project environments involving multiple phases and complex deliverables.
