Job DetailsJob Location Charleston - North Charleston, SC Education Level Bachelor Degree Job Shift Day Shift Job Category Information Technology DescriptionSummary The Information Technology Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and general support of companywide systems and general organization of the Information Technology Department; assists end users with questions and/or problems and acts as a resource for information technology needs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day technical support for employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues and resolving IT-related problems. Serves as user liaison/help desk support (moving computers, replacing keyboards, resetting passwords, troubleshooting connectivity problems, etc.). Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, software, and networks. Filters and responds to work order requests (documenting requests/procedures as necessary). Track and manage IT hardware, including desktops, laptops, servers, and other technology equipment, ensuring all assets are properly maintained and updated. Ensure all software licenses are up to date and manage software updates and patches to maintain security and functionality. Maintain accurate records and documentation of IT systems, processes, procedures, and inventories. Monitor and enforce security measures, including firewalls, anti-virus, and other cybersecurity tools, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Work with organizational teams to identify IT needs and provide training on software tools and technologies used by the organization. Assist with IT projects, such as system upgrades, deployments, and integrations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Regularly shares the On-Call responsibility. Sets up and runs A/V equipment for meetings, seminars, etc. as needed. Other duties as assigned. QualificationsQualifications, Education & Experience
- BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three (3) years of experience in IT Support, system administration, or related IT role.
- Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, Microsoft 365 platform, and software applications.
- Proficient with Windows and Mac operating systems and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Experience with IT infrastructure, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Knowledge of IT security best practices and disaster recovery planning.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff;
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
