  • Identify source data, map data, and troubleshoot to support UCare's data program to modernize its data management capabilities.
  • Analyze data sources and document the outcome of data analysis to meet project requirements.
  • Validate any data anomalies from source data analysis with business Subject Matter Expert and define exception handling process for interpretation of anomalies.
  • Define source-to-target data transformation rules from identified sources to the target models.
  • Explain and demonstrate to data consumers how the data interfaces/models meet their requirements.
  • Create post-production reconciliation reports to ensure the integrity of data between sources and targets (i.e.; databases/files/interfaces).
  • Analyze incidents and defects to arrive at the root cause in the integration pipeline starting with data in the originating system, and mapping and transformation rules in integration.
  • Model database schema design based on project, business, and non-functional requirements.
  • Increase data quality and integrity through mastery of tools to author and refine rules, evaluation of findings from the tool, and working with the business to find remediation.
  • Utilize the following tools and technologies: SQL, Visio, and SharePoint.
  • Position allows work from home anywhere in the United States. Headquarters located at 500 Stinson Blvd NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413.
  • The position requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or closely related field.
  • The qualified candidate must have at least 2 years (24 months) of experience in a data analyst, business analyst, or quality engineer position or closely related occupation.
  • The qualified candidate must also have at least 2 years (24 months) of experience with all of the following: (a) designing and executing data and process mapping; (b) analyzing data and data sources for defects, anomalies, and exceptions; (c) writing data transformation logics/rules based on data analysis and requirements; (d) creating reports on data analysis; (e) recommending remediation strategies to increase data efficiency, quality, and integrity; (f) translating business needs into data requirements; and (g) utilizing the following tools and technologies: SQL, Visio, and SharePoint.
  • All experience may be gained concurrently.
