Role Overview: The IT Depot Technician takes an ownership role in the operation of Ankura's North American IT Depot and oversees various processes involved in the procurement, configuration, repair, deployment, reclamation and retirement of Ankura's workstations and other end-user hardware. This position is located in Nashville, TN and reports to the Senior Director of End User Services. Responsibilities:
- Manage and report on Hardware Request ticket queue ensuring tickets are addressed in a timely and effective manner
- Manage hardware asset lists and lead regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes
- Plan workstation refresh schedule and oversee execution
- Oversee equipment recycling and ensure proper documentation of data destruction
- Manage special hardware requests including discussion of business needs with end users and facilitation of approval and procurement processes
- Work with IT leaders and Procurement to keep Depot stocked at target levels
- Assist with all day-to-day tasks of Depot operations including:
- Image and configure workstations
- Repair or facilitate repair of damaged/malfunctioning workstations
- Fulfill equipment orders for new hires and replacement requests
- Reclaim hardware as part of offboarding for separated workers
- Manage shipments of equipment to and from the IT Depot
- Maintain detailed records of IT hardware assets and all actions related to those assets
- Keep Ankura offices supplied with appropriate levels of loaner/replacement equipment
- Recycle end-of-life equipment and maintain proper documentation of data destruction
Additional Responsibilities:
- Work on projects related to area
- Assist other IT teams with projects and initiatives as required
- Participate in and contribute to team meetings and suggest improvements
- Comply with Corporate IT Service Management policies, procedures and directives
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years of experience in an asset management or related role
- Demonstrable experience servicing and imaging laptop computers
- Basic technical understanding of a Windows 10/Active Directory environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage several competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
