High St.Akron, Ohio 44308330.###.####EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITYJOB TITLE: IT DIRECTOR (Director of Information Technology)DEPARTMENT: Summit County Probate CourtSTARTING SALARY: $75,000.00HOURS: Full-time 8 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (some afterhours required)BENEFITS: Medical, Dental, Vision, 13 paid HolidaysPOSTED DATE: September 3, 2024DEADLINE: Until position filledGeneral Duties: Under Judge and Administrative direction; supervises IT staff, designs, recommends, implements, maintains and troubleshoots all programming and data base structures.Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field, or relevant experience from an accredited educational institution; minimum of five years and certifications required.Physical Requirements: Employee must be able to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds in order to perform the essential functions of this position.Tasks Performed:Coordinate the development, implementation, and maintenance of networking, courtroom technology, monitoring and cabling infrastructure to support voice, data, video, and sound systems. Recommends and implement changes and upgrades to improve systems.Utilize capacity planning tools to provide system specifications for the annual IT spending plan as it relates to IT infrastructure (e.g., networking equipment, circuit costs, cable plants, monitoring equipment, courtroom technology systems, and support systems such as uninterruptible power supplies (UPS).Implement, maintain, enhance, monitor and troubleshoot local area networks (LANs), wide area network (WAN) connectivity and utilization, firewall rule changes, wireless connectivity, and relevant equipment in an Aruba centric network (e.g., routers, switches, and cabling). Configure virtual local area networks (VLANs) to ensure voice, video and data traffic is responsive and reliable.Troubleshoot and execute solutions to system problems.Prepare technical and user documentation; perform testing and devise security procedures for hardware, software and data.Assist with maintenance, management and deployment of servers (e.g., VMware, Linux CentOS, Windows, OnBase), storage area networks, and databases (e.g., MySQL, and MS SQL).Implement, maintain, enhance, monitor and troubleshoot Microsoft 365.Perform backups of servers, databases, application programs and document images.Submit requisitions and quotes of supplies to Court Administrator for approval.Attend Board of Control and County Council for approval of purchases when required.Maintain equipment inventory.Perform special projects as requested.Provide technical guidance and support to 33-35 court staff.Complete general forms such as time sheets, vacation, reports and clerk required forms.Perform other related tasks as requested by Judge or Administration.Conditions under which work is performed: Performs duties under the request of the Judge and Administration; fast-paced office environment with frequent interruptions; performs duties independently, utilizing various resources; generally works regular Court hours, but hours may vary at times; may need to conduct research or staff development off-site.Attitudes necessary to successfully perform tasks: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, professional, thorough, comprehensive ability to operate under pressure, detail-oriented, dependable, reliable, patient, logical, friendly, flexible, self-motivated, and focused on the long-term good of the Court.#J-18808-Ljbffr
