You will establish day-to-day governance, performance management and intake. You will be responsible for processing labor, services, materials, maintenance and support agreements. You will be accountable for leading, maturing and training teams within the organization. You will have a key role in translating IT architecture and strategy into business requirements that can be commercialized by Procurement. You will be a partner in IT Supplier Category Management, Supplier Relationship Management with the overall Procurement function as IT supplier spend is a major cost driver for IT.In collaboration with Strategic Sourcing, the Managed Service organization and IT leadership, you will set strategic direction for the IT 3rd party technology portfolio and lead efforts to align and pivot the portfolio to achieve organizational objectives. Leading the newly formed Third Party Portfolio team you will be accountable for planning, optimization, continuous improvement, and maturing to a best-in-class organization including the technology labor requirements definition, licensing, support and maintenance, and represent IT on their Preferred Supplier Program.A key expectation is you must be proficient in identifying, assessing, and executing opportunities to improve cost, quality, partner performance, speed to market and establishing strong measure and metrics. Lastly, you will be responsible for establishing and executing on a living 3yr roadmap aligned with PG&E True North Strategy and IT strategic goals. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.Reporting RelationshipThe position will report to the Sr. Director of the Office of the CIO. Given the organization and reporting structure it is critical you are comfortable regularly briefing and interacting with Sr. Executives. Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop quantitative analysis and reporting on third party partner operational and financial performance and define requirements for Procurement IT metricsValidate performance against contracts including Statement of Work'sEngage in and resolve performance issues via corrective actions, problem solving and action plansFoster long-term partnerships to ensure ITs constantly evolving technology, skills, licensing and support requirement are metEnsure IT compliance with Sourcing, Legal, Security, Audit and all other appropriate standardsPartner with Strategic Sourcing to ensure optimal sourcing decisions with focus on cost, quality, and alignment with IT goals.Work closely with all parties including Sourcing to develop strategies including technology rationalization/optimization and contract rationalization Develop Visual Management tools which allow leadership deep insight to partner performance, spend, compliance and other key metricsImplement and ensure tight controls and governance for IT third party spend and on-time deliveryDrive Cross-functional Collaboration and strong stakeholder engagement / communications.Manage, track, and ensure IT contract renewals are completed timely, identifying efficiencies aligned with PG&E financial goals.Engage and Partner with the IT Team responsible for the Managed Service Contract utilizing offshore partners for IT services.Engage as required in market analysis, trending, value assessment and business requirements for alternative location strategiesPartner with Procurement to perform TCO analysis for vendor relationships, evaluating both direct and indirect costs to inform decision-making and optimize cost efficiency.Work closely with PG&E Strategic Sourcing on 3rd party negotiation strategy, ensuring favorable terms and conditions while mitigating risks, and oversee contract compliance throughout the 3rd party lifecycle.Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including IT Finance, Procurement, Legal, IT Leaders, and respective Business Units stakeholders (as needed), to align partner activities with broader business strategies and objectives.Identify and employ strategies to reduce acquisition time, reduce onboarding time, improve quality and maximize the value of IT 3rd party spendDevelop plan, and participate, in third party IT executive briefings and operational reviews.Leadership QualitiesPG&E expects its leaders to conduct themselves with the highest ethics and integrity and to embody specific leadership qualities.Strategic MindsetSeeing ahead to future possibilities and translating them into breakthrough strategies.Operating effectively, even when things are not certain or the way forward is not clear.A Leader in the Community and IndustryEffectively building formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organization. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
