Job Description:
Dedicated to Excellence, Committed to Service IT Enterprise Architect As an Enterprise Architect, you will contribute directly to enabling the ministry's modernization journey as we develop, provide and guide architecture services. You will help execute the Business Unit's vision and ensure that the enterprise landscape remains up-to-date, supportable, and efficient. You are expected to help plan, execute, and measure the strategy of the Enterprise Architecture across the global landscape of the ministry. Additionally, you will assist in evaluating new solutions as they are proposed/introduced to the environment, assessing the existing portfolio of applications and technologies as part of a continuous cycle of evaluation and rationalization. Lead Design Efforts Define end-to-end architectures, oversee and perform research studies and presentations that include recommendations, and instructions for proposed implementations; formulate logical descriptions of problems; and recommend optimum solutions; provide highly technical and specialized guidance concerning the architecture and design of complex IT systems and sub-systems using industry standard frameworks like TOGAF, Zachman framework, and best practices; assist in developing the overall architecture structure and provide guidance for the overall integrity of the architecture. Advise and Educate Ensure that business segments are aligned with the current and future architecture including security architecture; develop solutions architectures that support customer lines of business; work with application, technology, product, and domain owners to ensure roadmaps exist and are maintained in the catalog; analyze and define advanced technologies relevant to the applications and services within the enterprise architecture; support the education of ministry personnel and the implementation of the ministry's enterprise architecture blueprint; support and coordinate with various business and technology teams during design, development and delivery to ensure solid, scalable, robust solutions. Assist in Preparing Business Cases Assist in preparing business cases for changes, rationalization, or transformation of applications; Facilitate what-if / white-boarding sessions to explore and share architecture concepts with peers and stakeholders. Provide Technical Guidance Provide solutions that are secure, scalable, reliable, sustainable, and perform well while remaining flexible with low costs; accurately assess risks associated with each solution design / project; analyze and define disaster recovery responsibilities and procedures; gather & catalogue information related to applications, technologies, and other information related to the enterprise landscape; evaluate enterprise technologies and vendor offerings to stay current and effective in this job role; evaluate new technologies in the context of the future state architecture and evolving business requirements; identify, evaluate and participate in innovation proof of concepts (POCs) and advises on architectural impact and PO FLSA Status - Professional (Exempt) Education MS: Information Technology (Required) Work Experience 10+ years of architecting, engineering, supporting or developing enterprise IT solutions in hosted & cloud environment, 15+ years in IT including cloud and third-party outsourced components Physical Requirements and Skills Analytical, Dedicated, Detailed, Entrepreneurial Leadership, Interpersonal Relationships, Marketing, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Power BI, Multitasking, Oral Communications, Organized, Passionate, Problem Solving, Stamina to perform typical office functions, Time Management, Willing to learn department-specific programs, Work in a fast-paced environment, Work well under pressure, Wrike, Written Communication Ideal candidates must be born-again Christians and must be dedicated to training young people for serving God; and must desire to educate students based on biblical values and be committed to excellence as a Christian educator who glorifies Christ as the source of all wisdom and knowledge.
