Job Overview The IT Field Technician III will serve as the primary liaison for all information technology matters related to the successful functioning of operation technology (Production IT), support of all hardware and software needs, identifying and managing technical details necessary to successfully execute various incident response and production operations, and proactively identify technical solutions to maintain the efficient functioning of the Company's operations. In addition, this role will support the control environment; monitor critical network elements to keep the network and systems functioning in a stable operating mode. This position will assist in ensuring quick service restoration of problems using fault management procedures and in the documentation of processes, procedures, and resolution information; play a key role in consulting and designing IT solutions with business partners, while supporting onsite and remote support across the organization.
Duties & Responsibilities - Assists Coca-Cola Consolidated personnel in person, telephonically, and electronically through entering and resolving technology incidents regarding IT hardware, software, networks, and processes. Perform, research, resolve, and respond to highly complex questions in accordance with current standards, support all field and production team functions.
- Provides hardware and software support for production and automated systems. This includes supporting third-party vendors in the installation, repair and modifications of IT equipment used to manufacture products. Includes assisting with evaluation of new systems and services in the plants and branch locations.
- Provides personal productivity hardware and software support to teammates including repair, installation, upgrades, vendor partnership, etc. Software support can include installation, problem investigation, resolution, configuration changes, etc. while ensuring compliance with security policies.
- Responsible for IT assets assigned to their territory including issuing, inventory, deployment, and maintenance. This includes life cycle planning and refresh of equipment and software.
- Observes problem trends in order to report on frequent issues and documents, learnings and solutions in order to assist teammates with timely and consistent resolutions to frequently asked questions, including things like account lockouts, intermittent system issues, full facility impact issues, etc. in order to improve the team's ability to respond quickly to needs.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities - Strong knowledge of Microsoft productivity tools (Word, Excell, PowerPoint and Teams).
- Prior experience setting up, installing, cabling, and maintaining personal productivity, manufacturing IT and local area networking equipment.
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge acquired through 3 to 5 years work experience
- Valid driver's license required
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
