Summary and ScopeThe Foreman - IT works together with Field Operations leadership to ensure active job sites are functioning properly, staffed appropriately, and set up correctly. The Foreman - IT works closely with management to ensure the operational goals of projects are being met. The Foreman - IT assists the OM with administrative and clerical duties, leads Field Tech (IT), tracks IT equipment inventory at active sites, and maintains relevant IT maintenance and testing schedules.The ideal candidate will travel when needed and provide focused attention supporting a particular site with strong skills in leadership, motivating others, management, administration, and maintenance. This candidate assists with identifying network infrastructure, networking equipment, has experience with tracking inventory, and has the qualities to develop Field Tech (IT) skills in areas of IT Infrastructure, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance. They are subject matter experts in identifying network topology, physical infrastructure, carrying data analytics characteristics and continually self-educating.Essential FunctionsPlan, implement and manage tasks in accordance with priorities and goals.Produce employee and project schedules.Assist in training workers and tradespeople and monitoring their performance.Manage manpower and resources, ensuring they are adequate.Emphasize safe use of all tools and equipment and enforce the proper use of safety gear and adherence to safety regulations.Lead team that performs general Information Technology hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.Lead teams with the installation of fiber optic, Cat-6, and other cable types and provide training and support where needed.Lead teams with the setup and maintenance of secure wireless networks and provide training and support where needed.Lead IT teams for builds, modifications, expansions, and demobs.Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain DR equipment.Install, troubleshoot, and maintain IT equipment including control panels, window/door sensors, alarms, etc.Install, troubleshoot, and maintain site equipment including Sanitrax, vac systems, pumps, etc.Repair company equipment as needed to maintain serviceable condition.Review and analyze expenditures and invoices on a regular basis, ensuring they remain within budget.Responsible for site-specific input on SOPs, checklists, and verifications.Prepare reports on progress to managers, clients, and other stakeholders.Manage IT inventory, inventory databases and tracking, and inventory processes.Perform general maintenance functions for electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems.Perform ground maintenance and limited site work tasks as needed.Perform equipment operation onsite as required (training will be provided).Perform daily/scheduled maintenance checks and services on government equipment, company trucks and equipment.Operate site equipment to include but not limited to forklifts, tractors, work carts, yard maintenance equipment, skid steers (training will be provided).Assist with maintenance of water and wastewater systems on project site.Other duties as assigned.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Skills and SpecificationsBasic mechanical skills.General IT installation, configuration, and troubleshooting skills.Technical skills for interpreting construction methods and technologies along with contracts and technical drawings.Understanding of how technical steps interact with general construction.Knowledge of and ability to operate basic hand and power tools.Great organizational skills.General knowledge of safe working practices.Ability to read and interpret owners manuals, equipment schematics and work orders.Ability to speak, read, and write English.Have a clean driving record (able to drive company vehicles).Basic understanding of Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills.Knowledge of state and federal safety regulations.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Willingness to adapt to an ever-changing environment.Required Education and ExperienceAssociate degree in Computer Science or related field, required.3+ years' experience in a maintenance position, required.3+ years IT installation, configuration, and troubleshooting experience, required.CompTIA: A+, Network+, and/or Security+ certification, preferred.Bilingual (English and Spanish), preferred.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, see, hear, stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, climb, engage in repetitive motions, and use hands and fingers to manipulate objects, tools, or controls. May routinely and repetitively lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted (or heavier with the use of proper equipment and procedures).Expected Hours of WorkThis work is performed on an as-needed basis, and hours vary depending on contract needs. The ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends will be required based on contract needs. It is expected for this position to attend regular meetings during typical work hours in Eastern Standard Time as well as meetings as needed for assigned projects in other time zones. Flexibility is required of all candidates for both scheduling and duties assigned.This job operates in field environments. We operate 24/7/365, inside and outside, in all weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, hand tools, site equipment and vehicles, and is required to use and wear standard PPE, which will be provided by the company. There is an expectation of clear communication in English both written and orally.TravelThis position requires up to 100% travel. Travel is dependent on contract load. The ability to travel to job sites and be away for extended periods of time based on contract needs is required. Short notice travel is required with 24-48 hours' notice.Work AuthorizationMust be authorized to work in the United States.Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS).Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, occupational health physical and lift test (if applicable), credit check (if applicable), and a background check upon accepting a conditional offer of employment.Must possess a valid driver's license.
