Position Summary: The IT Specialist will be responsible for providing front line services, and onsite activities to include installations, general service, and IT Support. Excellent electronics, software troubleshooting, and networking skills, are required along with excellent communication skills. Our team members will provide exceptional client interface and relationship managementEssential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Site prep, installation, conditioning setup, testing
- Participate in preventative maintenance and consumable parts replenishment programs
- Assist with incidents and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Respond to service tickets in Birdi's ITSM and be on a rotational call
- Availability to perform shift work on evenings and weekends as required
- Install, configure and tests software for users
- Provide end user training in the use of Birdi applications and provides ongoing support
- Ability to work across multiple levels of the organization and effectively work to identify and drive resolve of key and critical situations
- Ability to work with partner vendors and maintain status of new and existing orders
- Test, evaluate and recommend new products, solutions and services for suitability to Birdi needs
- Contributor to documentation such as technical manuals and user guides to ensure they are accurate and up to date
- Contribute and support the Incident Management Report process
- Accurate and timely completion of work orders, expense reports, time sheets, inventory, etc.
- Maintain knowledge of HIPPA and ePHI controls and standards
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrated knowledge of PC operating systems such as Microsoft Windows
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong data analysis skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and data in accordance with policies
- Ability to exercise considerable judgment, maintain confidentiality, and act in a diplomatic manner
- Ability to independently identify, research and resolve issues
- Valid driver's license in good standing, insurance, and a reliable vehicle

- Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to lift, pull, push containers up to 50 pounds and manipulate equipment which requires strength, gross motor and fine motor coordination.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED and completion of a 2+ year diploma in computer and information technology
- Experience at in-field installation and client facing support position
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft Office 365, and Microsoft Exchange
Preferred Skill/Abilities:
- A+ Certified (or similar)
- Network+ (or similar)
- Experience or knowledge of Apple MacOS
- Prior experience in Pharmacy an asset
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
- Typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, and occasionallocal travel, including exposure to heat, cold, and inclement weather conditions. Transportation for travel typically will include automobile.
- Production/warehouse environment, with exposure to some noise and machinery.
