As an IT Help Desk Technician, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our engineers and staff by ensuring smooth and efficient operation of our IT systems. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and excel at troubleshooting and providing excellent customer service, we'd love to hear from you! Role and Responsibilities
  • Assisting in ensuring day-to-day functioning of systems, networks, and associated devices, including but not limited to desktop, laptop, smartphones, mobile user VPN, desk phones, etc.
  • Installing desktop software including but not limited to Autodesk, Microsoft Office, video conference, Communications, Design applications, Newforma, Etc.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving IT issues for our employees in our corporate office, six branch offices, and remote users.
  • Documenting and communicating issues to the Helpdesk administrator and other employees as applicable
  • Maintaining and documenting companywide IT asset inventory
  • Maintaining and demonstrating strong technical expertise in the key technologies used within the organization including operating systems, browsers, voice and data networking, remote access, Outlook email client, and VPN
  • Maintaining familiarity with current and upcoming technology trends in mobile and desktop operating systems
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Associates degree in Information Technology with an emphasis on systems and security and 0-2 years of formal on the job experience with operating systems, desktop support and security or at least an IT internship of 3-6 months.
  • Someone in the process of obtaining an Associate's degree in Information Technology with an emphasis on systems and security who also has 1-3 years of commensurate experience in the IT field will also be considered
Preferred Skills
  • Microsoft O 365 and Video Conferencing experience a plus
  • Customer service mindset
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required to be considered for this position as occasional regional travel to our branch offices may be necessary.
