We're seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented IT Helpdesk Technician to join our New York team. This role is crucial in supporting our innovative work environment and ensuring smooth IT operations across all our locations. It's an excellent opportunity for someone starting their IT career to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced tech company.Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for our office by addressing hardware, software, and network issues with guidance from senior members of the team
  • Perform basic network and system administration tasks under senior IT guidance
  • Collaborate with office managers and People Ops to address IT needs
  • Become adept at triaging helpdesk requests via Slack and Jira Service Management
  • Respond to support requests promptly and empathetically, clearly documenting actions taken during troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Follow our runbooks closely, alerting senior IT when something doesn't look right
  • Process, clean, and set up IT equipment for new hires and existing employees
  • Assist with new hire onboarding and equipment handoffs
  • Utilize, maintain and update user-facing IT documentation in our Confluence instance
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of IT or tech-related customer support
  • Bachelor degree preferred, or equivalent experience in IT or related field
  • Basic understanding of computer systems and networks
  • Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems
  • Motivated by improving the experience of others
  • Strong sense of curiosity as to why things work, not just how they work
  • Learning is your comfort zone
  • Pride in catching details that others miss
