Location/Region: This position is located in White Plains, NY. What's the role? As the IT Hub Cutover Coordinator, you get to work with an astonishing team that plays a vital role in Carl Zeiss Inc. Show case your skills and experience with process enhancement in overseeing the transition from the existing to the new SAP S/4 HANA environment whilst overseeing the cutover process . The role will ensure that the transition is executed smoothly, minimizing downtime and ensuring business operations continue without any significant disruptions. The coordinator will align activities across multiple departments, work threads, and physical sites, ensuring a methodical and consistent approach to go-live preparation, ramp down, cutover, and ramp up activities. The coordinator will integrate all IT, data, and business activities across all impacted work threads and end users to prepare the organization for the final go-live. Sound Interesting? Here's what you'll do:
  • Provide Cutover Methodology Guidance: Offer guidance on the methodology for cutover management to entity roll-ins in the deployment teams, establishing methodological guardrails.
  • Develop Cutover Plan: Develop a high-level cutover plan, including dry-runs, contingency planning, and risk management, for multiple SAP roll-in projects.
  • Collaborate with Global and Hubs: Collaborate with global and hub teams to ensure synchronization of the cutover plan with parallel cutovers, addressing timelines and conflict resolution.
  • Align with Overall Roll-in Plan: Work closely with the IT PM to align cutover activities with the overall roll-in plan and parallel roll-ins on regional and global levels.
  • Ensure Alignment and Timelines: Ensure that all parties are aligned with the cutover strategy and timelines.
  • Report and Resolve Challenges: Report on local cutover status to the Global IT cross-lead and resolve arising challenges in close collaboration with the deployment team.
  • Documentation and Guidance: Ensure documentation, including lessons learned, and provide guidance for subsequent cutovers.
  • Understanding ERP Functionality: Demonstrate understanding of end-to-end ERP functionality, particularly in Plan/Source/Make/Quality/Sales Order (Management/Inventory and Warehouse Management/Distribution/Finance - SAP preferred).
  • Manage Workshops and Stakeholders: Utilize expertise in managing workshops, facilitating groups, and leading stakeholders through planning exercises.
  • Go-Live Readiness and Decision Process: Experience in developing and managing go-live readiness assessments, stage-gate reviews, and go/no-go decision processes is preferred.
Do you qualify?
  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrating successful project and systems implementation experience in leadership positions applying project management body of knowledge principles (initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, finalizing)
  • Proven experience with cutover management in the context of large-scale SAP S/4 HANA implementation projects
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, including internal IT staff and external vendors / partners.
  • Proven ability to lead technical resources regarding functional topics.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills

  • Ensure that business ramp down and ramp up plans are created and aligned.
  • Develop cutover governance framework.
  • Develop solution stabilization, support, and business ramp up framework.
  • Develop a detailed Integrated Cutover Plan, manage rehearsals, and execution.

The annual pay range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000. The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus or sales commissions. ZEISS also offers robust benefits, including medical plans, retirement savings plan and paid time off.
