Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems. Monitor and maintain system performance, ensuring high levels of availability and security. Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
Network Administration: Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation. Implement and manage network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
Server Management: Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers. Manage server virtualization environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Ensure data integrity and availability through regular backups and disaster recovery planning.
Security Administration: Implement and manage security policies and procedures to protect IT infrastructure. Conduct regular security assessments and audits. Respond to security incidents and breaches, and implement corrective actions.
Technical Support: Provide advanced technical support for IT infrastructure-related issues.Assist in the resolution of complex technical problems escalated from the IT support team. Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues.
Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain detailed documentation of IT infrastructure, configurations, and procedures. Generate regular reports on system performance, security, and capacity planning. Develop and update IT policies and procedures.
Project Management: Lead and participate in IT infrastructure projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring. Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure administration or a similar role. Experience with network and server administration, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
Skills: Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching. Proficiency in server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with ITIL practices is desirable.
Working Conditions: Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds. Willingness to work in various environments, including outdoor and confined spaces. Availability to work flexible hours. May require occasional evening or weekend work to perform maintenance or resolve critical issues. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities. This position may require occasional travel to project sites and client locations.
