We are currently looking for an IT Infrastructure Lead. Under the general guidance of the IT Manager, this position will deploy and support company standard Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks, Wireless networks and miscellaneous IT systems used by Heidelberg Materials businesses. This position will be a member of the IT Country Operations team and is based in our Corporate office in Irving, TX with potential for Hybrid / remote work days.

What youll get to do

  • Provide general supervisory guidance to Irving based team members.
  • Monitor and manage team ticket queue to ensure timely assignment and resolution of incidents and requests within established SLAs.
  • Manage support vendors to address support issues.
  • Provide support for LAN, WAN, WIFI, Camera and Security related systems and projects for our aggregate quarries, concrete and cement plants.
  • Participate in both business initiated and IT driven projects.
  • Develop and maintain IT documentation including Visio network diagrams and training materials.
  • Provide technical and function support to IT teams as required.
  • Occasional travel is required with the ability to travel internationally.

Essential Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant IT experience in a Microsoft Windows/Cisco networking environment
  • Previous supervisor experience.
  • Cisco CCNA certification or higher.
  • Experience troubleshooting network issues and configuring Cisco network equipment.
  • An understanding of WAN technologies an asset.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and testing techniques.
  • Proficient in MS Office - Word, Excel, Project and Visio.
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
  • A detail-oriented self-starter with strong organizational skills and basic project management experience
  • Ability to adapt and reprioritize in a fast-paced environment.
