SummaryReporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, The IT Infrastructure & Operations Manager is a hands-on leader with a proven track record in enterprise IT and extensive expertise in on-premise and cloud infrastructure, IT support, and change management. This individual is a collaborative leader who excels at building and maintaining strong relationships with IT teams and County partners to understand and address their business requirements while promoting a culture of security and compliance.Essential Job Functions1. Planning and Road mapping:• Collaborate with the CIO in developing and implementing IT roadmap and strategies in support of the overall goals and objectives of the County.2. Leadership and Process Improvement:• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.• Conduct performance reviews and provide professional development opportunities for team members.• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in technology processes and operations to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.3. IT Infrastructure Management:• Hands on leadership of the design, maintenance, and optimization of the IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and desktop infrastructure in both on-premise and cloud environments.• Ensure the security and integrity of data, applications, and systems.4. Project Leadership:• Lead IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.• Coordinate with various departments to understand their technology needs and implement solutions accordingly.5. Services and Support:• Collaborate with MSP ensuring timely resolution of user issues and inquiries.• Manage IT processes, procedures and continuous improvement initiatives ensuring best practices in service desk operations and environment management.6. Security & Policy:• Develop and ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and regulations.• Disaster recovery planning, testing, and development of security controls.Competencies• Proven hands-on experience in IT Operations & Infrastructure Management.• Strong working knowledge of network design, Cisco and Fortinet knowledge a plus.• Strong IT leadership, organization and management skills.• In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and security.• Well versed in IT transformation initiatives.• Effective change management, communication, and interpersonal skills.• Working knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.Supervisory Responsibility• Systems Administrator, Managed HelpdeskWork EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Position Type and Expected Hours of Work• Onsite - Full Time M-F.Required Education and Experience• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree program from an accredited institution of higher education; AND six (6) years of work experience in a complex enterprise computing environment which includes at least two (2) years of work experience in a supervisory or lead role.
