Job SummaryThe Information Technology intern will have the opportunity to assist in projects to contribute to the everyday success of American Trim. The candidate will work directly with end users and other members of the IT staff and will report to the Network Engineer & Technical support manager.Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, chat, email, or help desk ticket• Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues• Deploy new computer, telephony, and audio-visual Hardware• Assist in the administration and deployment of company software packages• Assist in the development of new technology solutions to meet business needs• Utilize, Develop and Maintain DocumentationQualifications/Skills• Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.• Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions.• Writes clearly and informatively.• Balances team and individual responsibilities; Exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; Gives and welcomes feedback; Contributes to building a positive team spirit.• Follows policies and procedures; Completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports organization's goals and values; Supports affirmative action and respects diversity.• Prioritizes and plans work activities; Uses time efficiently; Sets goals and objectives.• Approaches others in a tactful manner; Follows through on commitments.Education and/or Experience• High School diploma required.• Enrollment or completion of college courses in IT related field required.• Entry level will be considered based on experience or extra-curricular activities related to IT.Work ScheduleThe work schedule will be flexible, determined in discussion between intern and hiring manager.Supervisory Responsibilities:This position has no supervisory responsibilitiesOther Attributes/Skills:Should have knowledge of Information Technology systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.Functional Direct Reports: This position has no direct reports.About Us:American Trim is a local family owned and operated business with a 70+ year history in the community.
