Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARYResponsible for design, implementation, and management of the organization's network infrastructure. Leads a team of network engineers to ensure the stability, performance, and security of the network systems. This position will assist with budget preparation and management; make recommendations for technical acquisitions; and development of guidelines, standards and procedures. Responsible for ensuring the Strategic alignment between the business and IT are upheld in the most efficient and effective way and being communicated to all levels. This position is a working manager that will also be the Network Architect and Sr. Level Network Engineer with a specific specialty in Cisco networking products. You must have expert level experience with and be certified in Cisco switches and routers to perform this job successfully.MINIMUM STARTING SALARY: $38.56 hourly/ $80,211 annually *Higher Starting salary commensurate with experience*CORE COMPETENCIES

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIESNote: The following duties are illustrative and not exhaustive. - Lead, mentor, and manage a team of network engineers, including performance evaluations, career development, and training.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Develop and implement team goals, metrics, and performance standards.
- Collaborates with operational Directors and Chief's to establish prioritization of production issues.
- Performs and supervises the recruitment, development, and retention of Network Engineering staff in accordance with personnel policies and budgetary objectives.
- Provides day-to-day supervision, conducts and reviews performance evaluations, and delegates work assignments for Network Engineering personnel.
- Supervises the ordering, acquisition, inventorying, and disposition of hardware and software.
- Performs other duties as necessary.
Network Design & Implementation:
- Oversee the design, configuration, and deployment of network solutions including routers, switches, Wi-Fi Access Points, load balancers, and VPNs.
- Ensure network architecture meets business needs and scalability requirements.
- Manage network upgrades, expansions, and migrations with minimal disruption to operations.
- Assesses new networking technologies and the feasibility of system enhancements to determine potential value or impact to current systems.
Network Operations & Maintenance:
- Monitor and maintain network performance, reliability, and security.
- Develop and enforce network policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues and outages.
Strategic Planning & Project Management:
- Collaborate with IT leadership to develop network strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Manage network-related projects from inception through completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Prepare and present regular reports on network performance, incidents, and improvements.
- Oversees development of the Network Engineering budget and decision units; monitors the annual budget to ensure items are paid and/or purchased on time.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
- Manage relationships with network equipment vendors and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand their network needs and provide solutions.
Security & Compliance:
- Implement and manage network security measures to protect data and infrastructure.
- Ensure network compliance with industry regulations, statutory requirements, local, state, and federal laws, and organizational policies.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in network engineering, including 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Cisco CCNP or higher certification is required.
- Proven experience with network design, implementation, and management in complex environments.
