Job Description
Essential Functions:
- Identify opportunities for leveraging technology to enhance business operations.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends, and assess their potential impact on the organization. Oversee the management of IT systems, networks, infrastructure, and data centers.
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of IT systems and services.
- Establish and maintain IT policies, procedures, and standards to promote efficiency and effectiveness.
- Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing IT team.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to IT staff.
- Monitor and assess the organization's cybersecurity posture and implement appropriate safeguards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to data security and privacy.
- Establish disaster recovery and business continuity plans to mitigate IT-related risks.
- Works closely with the executive team, mid-level and general managers.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, engineering or equivalent
- or one to two years related experience and/or training;
- or equivalent combination of education and experience
- In-depth knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
- Strong service orientation and the ability to build and maintain a customer focused support culture
- The ability to support large user populations and deployment of various user facing desktop application and platforms
- Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills; highly developed verbal and written communication
- Strong problem-solving skills and the tolerance for ambiguity.
Required Technical Skills / Experience:
- Prior management of an IT Help Desk team or IT Department Staff
- Complete understanding of corporate computer systems, networks and infrastructure. Basic understanding of software programming, web programming and database structures

For compliance purposes for NYS transparency, the expected salary range is $80k - $125k . Compensation will be based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
IT Manager - Responsible for the operational management of the organizations IT department. IT staff leadership, project management, help desk operations, infrastructure expansion and upgrades, system security, and disaster recovery are major areas of concentration.
