What you will be doing: The IT Manager will manage and direct the company's information technology (IT) operations, ensuring the department provides efficient and effective technical support service that aids and supports the overall business strategy of Buchart Horn, Inc.
Job Responsibilities: Supervisory: - Schedule, organize and assign project to members of the IT team.
- Oversees the day-to-day workflow of the department.
- Conduct performance evaluation that are timely and constructive.
Essential Duties: - Analyze IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
- Generate and update documentation on operational procedures.
- Facilitate IT security audits or investigations
- Oversees and determines timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages.
- Responsible for purchase of all hardware & software.
- Provide assistance to end users as needed.
- Act as a backup for the Network Engineer and Technical Support positions as necessary
- Provide assistance and coordination of IT related training for all staff.
- Keep job knowledge updated by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, participating in professional organizations.
- Provide ideas & knowledge to advance the corporation on future technology changes.
- Perform other similar or related duties as assigned
Experience, Technical Skills, and Attributes: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 8-10 years' Information Technology experience
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
- Previous experience in an Architecture and Engineering Consulting firm a plus!
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in latest technology for IT systems and management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of information technology procedures and practices.
- Working knowledge of design system support a plus!
