The IT network administrator provides high-level technical support for voice and data network systems, creates and maintains network documentation, maintains hardware and software and works projects as needed in order to upgrade to new and/or improve existing hardware and software.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs complex troubleshooting, backup, archiving, and disaster recovery. Assists in the design, implementation and maintenance of systems, programs, hardware and software. Assists with the administration and maintenance of the telephone system, including telephone switches. Assists with the creation of new hire telephone and voicemail extensions, routing extensions to appropriate locations and updating information as Innovator seating assignments change. Understands the issues involved in administering and maintaining corporate WAN. Assists with the inventory management of software licenses, software, hardware, and other IT supplies. Assists with the purchase of software, hardware and other IT supplies. Promotes responsible usage and care of corporate equipment. Works close with all IT team members on projects and tasks. Twenty-four (24)-hour seven (7)-day operation requires emergency coverage assistance as assigned. Ensures compliance with Federal, State and Tribal laws. Has limited access to accounting and network systems as set by Director of Information Technology. Maintains slot system network and wiring. Keeps a detailed log of all system failures and system changes. Ensures that a library is maintained containing computer related material such as operating manuals, training manuals and maintenance contracts. Completes system backups and storage of slot data. All other duties as assigned (non-gaming functions and issued gaming license permitting).KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.Proper understanding all types of hardware including routers, switches, wires and other essential equipment. Knowledge of IP addressing and some common networking protocols like IPv4 and IPv6. Knowledge of the common operating systems such as Windows (XP, Vista, and Windows 7), Linux and MAC OS. Knowledge of various Networking Services such as directories, files, distributed applications, email, HTTP, FTP, DNS and some other common services. Knowledge of security maintenance using encryption, firewalls, IDS, anti-virus, anti-spam etc. Knowledge of ISP/Communication Providers and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs). Knowledge of troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of databases and database servers like MySql and Sql Server. Knowledge of windows servers. In some cases, basic knowledge of some scripting languages like Python, Pearl and PHP. Knowledge of project management and documentation skills. Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure. Ability to set up and configure server hardware.QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:Associates Degree in the related field and/or two-year experience in related field. Casino experience is preferred. Proven experience in a network administrator role. Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching. Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN's remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired. Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies. Great at organizing, prioritizing and multitasking.PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
