ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Managing and optimizing our wide-area network solutions.
  • Integrating new and existing local area networks including switching, wireless, and network segmentation/policies.
  • Managing on-prem and internet-based firewall solutions.
  • Facilitating our continued implementation of cloud-based solutions while supporting our on-premises systems.
  • Managing our VPN and other remote access solutions.
  • Supporting Access and Authentication services to LAN, WAN, and Cloud Network solutions
  • Conducting network vulnerability scans and assessments to ensure secure operations.
  • Partnering with our IT Services team and partners on IT improvement projects.
  • Partnering with our Information Security team and partners on security initiatives, including addressing and remediating vulnerability assessments.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIEINCE Associates degree with class work in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (or similar). Five (5) years of directly relevant experience (or a combination of education, experience, and certification). Must have - WAN (Wide Area Network) and LAN (local area network) management experience. Must have - Experience managing internet-based firewalls and on-prem firewalls Must have - Experience designing and implementing segmenting networks. Must have - Experience (or being EXTREMELY confident in ability to) managing IT Infrastructure in hybrid (on-prem and cloud-based) environments. Must have- Experience implementing and managing VPN solutions Desired - Experience with Cisco Meraki Switching and Cisco Secure Connect SASE networking solutions Certifications: Desired: CompTIA Net+ (or similar) Preferred: VCP (VMWare Certified Professional) AZ-700 (Azure Network Engineer Associate) CompTIA Sec+, ISC2 CC, or similar QUALIFICIATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Strong knowledge of network design principles, security, and hardware.
  • Experience with cybersecurity principles, risk management, and network security tools.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, network configuration, and technical support OR Exceptional troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with internal teams and external vendors effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Abel to manage multiple projects and tasks at the same time.
  • Occasional Travel to Milwaukee Electronics manufacturing sites will be required, less than 10% travel time.
  • Must have the legal, permanent right to work in the United States.
WORK ENVIROMENT This is a Hybrid opportunity based out of or Milwaukee, WI manufacturing facility.Typical weeks will be 4 Days Remote to and One Day in the Office; aside from the demands of specific projects, incidents, or responding to network outages. Supervisory Responsibilities: None LANGUAGE SKILLS The ability to read, speak, and understand English to enable clear communication and comprehension of internal company documentation.Ability to craft professional, easy to understand, communications. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Basic math skills will be required to add, subtract, multiply and divide. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this position, employees are frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to point, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Employees are occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
