Job DescriptionInfosys is seeking a IT On-Site Support Technician: This position's primary responsibility is to lead hands and feet support services for desktop and server environments in our data center. The role requires in-depth technical knowledge to ensure operational excellence and timely resolution of on-site issues.Role Designation :Technology AnalystRequired Qualifications:•Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Brentwood TN or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US•Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education•At least 2 years of Information Technology experience•At least 6 years of experience in desktop and server support, preferably in a data center environment.•Hands-on expertise in supporting physical and virtual server infrastructure.•Proficiency in troubleshooting server hardware (Dell, HP, etc.) and desktop systems.•Familiarity with networking equipment, including switches, routers, and firewalls.•Experience with cabling standards, rack management, and data center operations.•Provide hands-on support for desktops, servers, and network devices within the data center.•Oversee hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for servers and desktops.•Manage physical cable patching, hardware replacements, and system upgrades.•Perform routine server maintenance and health checks to ensure optimal performance.•Respond to and resolve on-site hardware and software issues in a timely manner.•Collaborate with remote teams for system configuration, testing, and diagnostics.•Maintain detailed documentation of physical assets, configurations, and repair activities.•Ensure adherence to data center safety, security, and compliance protocols.•Good knowledge on ITSM process•Ability to work with OEM support team•Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux) and virtualization technologies.•Candidates authorized to work for any employer in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship are welcome to apply.
