Intelligent Waves has an immediateneed for an IT Operations Lead to support our mission critical work for our government customers. This IT Operations Lead will support an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team focused on day-to-day IT Support, Operations, and Maintenance of a growing enterprise-wide Big Data processing and analysis system. The ideal candidate will experience in leading IT operations support of Virtualized environments, Large Network Attached Storage (NAS), Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and Network Infrastructure.

Location & Travel: This IT Operations Lead position will be based at Nellis AFB, NV and may require some travel to other sites (20%). Travel will be reimbursed based on GSA Per Diem rates and DoD Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).

Security Clearance: This IT Operations Lead position must be a United States Citizen and hold a current Secret security clearance. Ability to obtain a TS/SCI eligibility.

Employees are required to follow all company and customer site COVID-19 protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a diverse IT Operations team to ensure quality end-to-end IT support services to end-users focused on customer satisfaction.
• Grow and develop the teams skills to improve efficiency and quality
• Plan staffing levels and schedules
• Preform people management activities to include administrative, performance, and growth activities
• Interface with customers and leadership to assess issues and resolve conflicts
• Collaborate with Architecture, Integration, and User teams to evolve the system
• Establish processes for IT service delivery in an enterprise environment
• Develop and document CONOPS, TTP, and SOPs
• Serve as an expert Systems Administrator for servers, storage, workstations, peripherals, communications devices, and software.
• Provide inputs to and follow directions from Configuration Management processes.
• Ensure all technical and architectural standards and DoD/AF Guidance
• Build and maintain positive rapport and partnerships with peers and other relevant team members.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• The employee must be able to occasionally travel away from the normal duty location, to include deployments CONUS and OCONUS.
• The employee must be willing and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
• The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, holidays, shift work, and/or overtime to support mission requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in an IT related Field OR Associates Degree+ 5 years related experience
• Ability to obtain an IAT Level II certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M (i.e., Sec+ CE [MCSA]).
• 5+ years of experience with the design/architecture, installation, and operations of hardware and software technologies listed above
• Progressive experience in a Lead IT Operations or IT Operations and Maintenance Role
• Experience in managing technical staff
• Prefer at least two (2) years of experience in Systems Administration ( preferably in Air Force environment).
• Ability to have a thorough understanding of customer's mission needs and be completely knowledgeable of hardware and software capabilities and limitations supporting that functional system.
