DetailsAlamo Group Inc. is seeking a dynamic IT Operations Managerto lead the planning, coordination, and execution of IT operations across various sites, ensuring alignment with our IT strategy and business objectives. This role involves managing teams, both directly and indirectly, to identify and implement improvements, set objectives, and find cost-effective solutions to operational challenges. The position is located at Alamo Group's Corporate Headquarters in Seguin, TX (approximately 25 miles east of San Antonio, TX).The IT Operations Manager will:Lead IT operations of specific sites, effectively managing scope, resources, and outcomes of IT hardware, software, and services.Manage IT assets, including maintenance of inventory, life cycle management, and related documentationOversee the implementation of strategic plan objectives to make certain IT infrastructure meets existing and future business requirementsOversee the administration of user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory Office 365, JD Edwards, and other internal applicationsOversee service desk operations for specific sites, delivering efficient and effective outcomesParticipate in IT budget activities, including the creation of an annual budget that adheres to IT strategy that brings value to the businessPrepare project plans, review scope of work documents, and other documentation for IT projects and associated effortsManage and ensure effectiveness of on premise and cloud-based servicesNegotiate and maintain relationships with technology, software, and services providers to secure IT products and servicesLead as a subject matter expert, preparing reports and routinely communicates with leadership and others regarding pertinent IT activities, Cyber Security status and posture, and other topics related to the status of hardware and software incidents and issues for specific sitesParticipate in Corporate IT afterhours on-call rotation for critical system outagesPerform other duties as assignedThe ideal candidate will have/be:Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to formulate and deliver ideas and material in a clear, concise, informative, and professional mannerAble to influence, motivate, develop, and coach people to perform at their highest potentialAble to build and foster effective business relationships with peers and other departments within and across the Company, from individual contributors to the Company's management teamAbility to maintain proficiency with rapidly evolving technologiesHigh level of expertise managing Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Exchange/Exchange Online, or Microsoft Office 365Experience deploying or managing SDWAN and VPN networking technologiesExposure to products from F5 Networks, Cisco Meraki, Cisco ASA X series firewalls, Hewlett Packard Aruba, or DellAbility to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to a problem.Strong organizational skills: ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasksAbility to work irregular hours or overtime as needed to respond to incidents and perform maintenanceDemonstrated ability to exhibit and model Alamo Group's Core Leadership Competencies:Leading Change / Change ManagementLeading People / TeamworkCommunicationBusiness AcumenResults DrivenEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience is required Minimum 5 years of experience managing IT operations is required, preferably in a manufacturing environmentPrior experience managing people is required Prior experience managing vendor relationships and managing projects is requiredWorking Conditions:This position will generally work in an indoor office or manufacturing shop floor environment with frequent sitting for extended periods of time.
