Where is this opportunity located???

Position has the flexibility to work from a U.S. based home office in the Brookings or Sioux Falls, SD area. There will be an occasional need to be present on a Daktronics campus. This position is open to candidates eligible to work in the U.S.

We will expose you to multiple facets of the IT Infrastructure (Servers, Networking, Security, Workstations) world. You will experience a professional business environment where you can sharpen your troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, grow in your knowledge and experiences. With your academic growth in the classroom, we seek to provide multiple experiences during your student career at Daktronics, which may mean rotating to different job responsibilities.

These opportunities could include:

+ Assisting with troubleshooting and resolving IT issues, including setting up computers and ensuring they are ready for use during orientations or events.

+ Providing technical guidance, advice, and training to users.

+ Performing support for IT infrastructure areas according to documented processes.

+ Logging customer interactions, filling out detailed information in cases, and documenting resolutions.

+ Maintaining IT Knowledge Base.

What is the pay and perks?

The typical hiring pay for this position is $16.00/hour to $18.00. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including relevant education, experiences, location, and applicable local legislation.?

Students with GPA of 3.5 and above are eligible for a $500 bonus (Academic Excellence Reward) each semester completed while employed.

This position will be eligible for company benefits including, employee discount program, employee assistance program, community donation program, unpaid time off, 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Plan, leaves, disability, and accommodations.

Qualifications

Academic Requirements:

+ The preferred applicant will be a student registered in at least 12 credits and currently enrolled in accredited Bachelors degree program in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Cyber Operations, or a related degree.??

+ The preferred candidate will be in their sophomore or junior year of school.

+ Only strong academic performers will be considered. Must maintain an acceptable GPA, with preference to 3.0 GPA or greater.??

+ Unofficial transcripts or web transcripts must be submitted with application to be considered for this position.

Preferred Experiences:??

+ Information Technology administration, networking or cyber security is required. Knowledge of Microsoft and Linux operating systems, networking protocols, cyber security best practices preferred.

+ Microsoft Windows familiarity including:

+ User accounts and groups.

+ Permission set concepts.

+ System, application, and security event logs.

+ Ability to dig into application and service logs for troubleshooting.

Other Requirements:

+ Candidate must be 18 years of age or older.

+ Candidate should be available to work approximately 15 hours per week (maximum of 20 hours per week) during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer. Maintain a consistent schedule.

+ Good oral and written communication skills, good organizational skills, self-motivation.??

+ Good problem solving and critical thinking skills.???

+ Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.??

+ Fluent in English, both written and verbal.??
