Job Description:

General Summary: The Information Technology Point-of-Sale (POS) Administrator manages and ensures effective and secure operation of the Point-of-Sale infrastructure through design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of POS hardware and software.Essential Job Duties:Install, configure, maintain, and administer POS system and related environments including POS hardware and software to support business applications.Monitor and troubleshoot POS performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.Optimize POS systems for efficiency and scalability.Perform regular POS maintenance, updates, and security patches.Plan, implement and enforce security measures to safeguard data, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.Develop strategies, implement, maintain, and perform POS system backups to protect critical data.Develop, implement, and maintain disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime.Assist in onboarding and offboarding employees managing access rights and permissions.Collaborate with IT teams and other departments to address cross functional requirements.Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.Research, recommend and implement new technologies.Provide technical support and training to end users to resolve hardware and software issues.Minimum Qualifications:A 2-year college or technical degree in related field, with 4 years of experience, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.Advanced knowledge of Point-of-Sale and adjacent systems.Professional appearance and a positive attitude.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work independently.Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, operating systems, or related software.Valid Driver's License.
