We believe in empowering your future!What You'll Do: The IT Product Manager is responsible for working with internal and external stakeholders to outline IT project needs. S/he will be responsible for achieving successful implementation of multi-phased projects/ programs and managing all activities required to define, design, develop and deliver programs or solutions to business sponsors. Primary role involves providing direction to cross-functional project teams on multiple projects comprised of both Information Technology and Business Components. S/he must be savvy working with both technology and business partners across the organization in a collaborative way. Reporting to the Director s/he will be accountable for ensuring resource commitments and project deliverables are met and communicated in a timely manner. Project issues and risks must be identified and tracked and plans to resolve these issues must be developed, actively managed and solutions executed. Primary Responsibilities:
- Elicits, analyzes, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders, be they customers or end users.
- Collaborates with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
- Clearly identifies project stakeholders and establish customer classes, as well as their characteristics.
- Assists in conducting research on products to meet agreed upon requirements and to support purchasing efforts.
- Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.
- Assists with the interpretation of customer requirements into feasible options, and communicating these back to the business stakeholders.
- Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
- Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data center.
- Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
- Guides and coaches the IT Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers.
- Gets team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.
- Responsible for ensuring Agile is understood and the team adheres to agile theory, practice, and guidelines.
- Works with Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organizational project or product teams.
- Contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.
- Facilitates and supports all agile events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
- Acts as a leader who coaches and supports Agile teams assigned to mainly Business as Usual (BAU) work and to a lesser degree, important department initiatives and applicable portions of corporate projects and initiatives.
