With clients in the US and abroad, we hold key contract vehicles including GSA IT Schedule 70, NIH CIO-SP3, GSA Alliant, and DHS-Eagle II.Join us in driving growth and seizing new business opportunities.BackgroundOur client needs a Program Manager to assist in driving multiple Major IT Development Projects over the next few years. MDH is embarking on various modernization projects including but not limited to the implementation of case management systems across multiple business areas, for example, the AIDS Drug Assistance Program, Electronic Health Records (EHR) system, Bed Registry, Electronic Licensing systems, just to name a few.Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Program Manager is the contractor's manager for the Contract and serves as the single point of contact for the Master Contractor with the State regarding the Contract.Performs overall management for Contract support operations.Must be capable of negotiating and making binding decisions for the Master Contractor.Develop and implement appropriate procedures and reporting for the implementation consistent with the overall program.Manage project risks and issues: root cause analysis, implementation of corrective/preventive actions, compliance with PMI methodology, and continual process improvement efforts.Create and sustain a culture that encourages high performance of individuals and teams.Minimum QualificationAt least 12 years of experience in program or project management with a minimum 2-year healthcare project management experience.At least eight (8) years of experience in supervision or oversight of large IT or complex systems-related programs or projects.Ability to apply industry best practices and future state/federal mandates to existing systems.Strong leadership aptitude to foster a positive work environment that considers the dynamics of physical, social, psychological, and environmental.Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or other related discipline. Master's degree and/or project management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.Preferred QualificationExperience in managing IT modernization projects.Familiarity with change management processes.Basic technical knowledge of programming languages and databases.
