The IT Project Manager will oversee developing comprehensive project plans, ensuring integration with third-party software or hardware, and managing the transition of services into operational status, all while adhering to strict government requirements and providing detailed documentation and rationale for service changes and associated costs. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Maintain Project Plans: Construct and deliver detailed project plans in electronic format, which include schedules, milestones, and dependencies among other IT efforts. Update plans frequently and present/justify changes in service, cost and total cost of ownership.
  • Service Design and Deployment: Design or redesign IT service architectures to ensure modernization objectives are met. Develop deployment strategies for the roll-out; validate and test new services to ensure they meet design specifications and operational requirements.
  • Project Integration and Coordination: Facilitate the integration of third-party software or hardware, providing expertise in project integration, change management and execute technical configuration changes as necessary. Review technical project documentation to ensure alignment with service design and transition plans.
  • Transition and Validation: Lead transition activities, ensuring that all phases from building to customer acceptance are managed effectively. Ensure the new or modified services are evaluated, tested, released; identify and communicate technical risks associated with project deliverables and integration with existing services.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare a Project Closure Report summarizing outcomes, lessons learned, and recommendations for future projects.
Qualifications Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing large-scale IT projects, preferably within a government or military context.
  • Proven ability to design IT architectures and manage the deployment of complex IT systems.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL practices and experience in change management.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging IT technologies, particularly in areas such as virtualization, cloud services, and enterprise storage.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience in providing detailed documentation and presentations to government stakeholders.
  • Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
