SUMMARY The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, running and administering our IT business applications. This position requires a strategic problem solver with strong leadership abilities and a solid grasp of both project management and application management. Must evaluate existing and emerging technology regularly with members of the technology department. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with an unparalleled work ethic that embodies customer success through technology. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Works with business and IT partners to develop project scope, test plan for assigned teams, and lead the requirements development process.
  • Responsible for applying project management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project work, processes, and systems.
  • Manage and update project plan through project completion.
  • Sets and manages expectations with team members.
  • Leads project meetings; identifies, documents, and prioritizes scope changes and facilitates approval process; maintains and updates all project documents.
  • Conducts training sessions for end-users and staff to enhance their understanding and effective use of new and existing technology systems, ensuring smooth adoption and integration of technology solutions.
  • Maintains issue, risks, and other required project logs and facilitates resolution of all outstanding items.
  • Implements communication plans and regularly reports status to the project lead.
  • Prepares and participates in quality review checkpoints and acquires/secures and archives vital approvals.
  • Identifies and mitigates project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Manages application upgrades, patches, and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Monitors application performance and reliability, addressing any issues or incidents promptly.
  • Ensures compliance with security standards and data protection regulations.
  • Works closely with the Vice President of Technology.
  • Works home games for Brooklyn Nets, New York Liberty, LI Nets, and other assigned responsibilities.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT project management and application management.

  • Must document and frequently update system inventory with life cycle management.
  • Skilled in building positive relationships and a passion for helping others navigate technology.

  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and applications simultaneously.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Infrequent Traveler (< 5% travel): The incumbent may be required to travel on a limited basis. Travel may include trips between Barclays Center, HSS Training Center, and other BSE properties. SALARY RANGE: $85,000 - $120,000 WORK ENVIRONMENT: This person will need the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Works primarily in an office environment but upon request will be expected to attend games and other events on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
