Job Title: IT Project Manager with P&C Insurance
Location: New York, NY 10022 (Work from home)

Job Description:
- Client is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with P&C Insurance IT background.
- This is a new position and will report to the Director of Information Technology.
- The IT Manager will lead a team responsible for supporting a capital investment project with the objective of implementing a new Legal Tracker system for Claims Operations and Legal departments.
- This project is heavily focused on API integrations and data exchange across multiple systems.
- The candidate will lead an Agile-structured, multi-workstream team made up of Vendor and IT development teams.
- This candidate must have exceptional management, strategic thinking and communication skills to drive this complex initiative from inception through to completion.
- The role will work closely with stakeholders, internal support teams, and vendor partners to gather product requirements, prioritize work efforts, manage risk/issues, and drive the overall delivery of the product work stream.
- This is a high visibility role that involves being the point of coordination and escalation for Client, and requires a skilled Project Manager who is hands-on, leads by example and provides exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities & Product Support:
- Collaborate with the Vendor partner and each Client's workstream lead to create a consolidated project plan.
- Partner with Stakeholders to understand the business roadmap, and then ensure that roadmap stays in alignment with the consolidated project plan.
- Own and manage the scope and timeline of the overall consolidated project plan, monitoring progress of each work stream and critical path.
- Partner with each work stream lead to resolve blockers or impediments that may jeopardize the overall delivery
- Work with the Vendor Project Manager to understand the product backlog and ensure it is prioritized and refined, and that the development workstreams are kept informed of the latest status.
- Establish KPIs to monitor, measure, and report on software quality and delivery performance. Utilize KPI performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Plan, schedule and communicate release plans and set expectations for delivery of new capabilities, features, and functionalities.
- Actively manage issues, risks and dependencies for assigned project/program in order to meet objectives/deliverables, escalate appropriately.
- Provide vision and direction to the team and stakeholders throughout the product life cycle, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Partner with 3rd Party Solution Providers and Vendors to ensure delivery objectives and organizational priorities are known, understood, and met.
- Maintain relationships to ensure issues are quickly identified, analyzed and remediated to avoid adverse impact to business partners.
Experience Required:
- 5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent as a Technology / Delivery Project Manager
- Demonstrated knowledge of COTS/Package Product development and implementation
- Demonstrated knowledge of data-driven projects, API integrations, Data Warehouse
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry-wide development software, frameworks and processes, development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and best practices
- Excellent relationship management, verbal, and written presentation/communication, and leadership/influence skills required.
- Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, professional environment.
