GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONThe role of IT QA Automation Engineer focuses on automation test scripting, specifically for APIs. This position is crucial in ensuring the quality and reliability of our banking applications.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Collaborate with the AGILE team to understand application features and requirements. This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time.2. Develop and maintain automated test scripts for API testing with languages such as JavaScript. This duty is performed daily, about 50% of the time.3. Execute and analyze test results to identify and report defects. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.4. Utilize testing tools to validate API functionality such as Postman or Cypress. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time.5. Continuously improve test automation frameworks and processes. This duty is performed as needed, about 10% of the time.6. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. This duty is performed daily.7. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed quarterly.8. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily.
