This role involves enhancing system functionality, optimizing operations, and supporting strategic decision-making in collaboration with the finance, sales, and IT teams. The ideal candidate will bring expertisein SAP technologies and act as a key business partner, providing critical support to North American business users and liaising with global teams.Key Responsibilities:System Support & Optimization (40%)
- Provide technical leadership and support for the financial systems, particularly SAP S4 and AFS (Advanced Financial System).
- Collaborate with finance teams to understand business requirements, aligning technology solutions with financial objectives.
- Manage the configuration and maintenance of SAP S4, as well as other financial planning and forecasting tools like CO-PA.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the accuracy and stability of financial data.
- Document system workflows and technical specifications for efficient knowledge sharing and operational continuity.
Project Management & IT Governance (40%)
- Lead financial system upgrades, integrations, and enhancements, working closely with IT teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Participate in global IT projects, ensuring the North American business leverages the best solutions.
- Establish IT governance policies to control the financial systems, ensuring auditability and data integrity.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends, proposing strategic initiatives to improve system functionality and business performance.
Key Business Partnering (10%)
- Serve as a technology advisor to the business, providing recommendations and solutions that align with strategic goals.
- Understand business processes and dependencies on supported technologies, making thoughtful assessments about the best technology solutions to implement.
- Work closely with finance and sales stakeholders, ensuring technical solutions are in line with business needs.
Training & User Education (10%)
- Educate finance and business users on SAP S4 functionalities and new technology implementations.
- Ensure that best practices are followed by guiding users through process optimizations and troubleshooting.
- Provide training and continuous support to build a robust user experience.
Required Qualifications:Education:Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, information technology, or a related field is required. A masters degree is a plus.Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT roles related to finance systems and processes.
- Strong understanding of SAP S4 financial modules (FICO, CO-PA) and ERP platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, vendor management, and team leadership.
- Experience with financial planning tools and related software (e.g., SAP, Hyperion) is essential.
