Job Description:
Androscoggin Bank has an opening on our IT team! This newly created position will be responsible for safeguarding the Bank's network and infrastructure. We are looking for someone who has previous experience with Microsoft 365 and working with security vendors, as well as someone who understands the importance of security events and how to mitigate and respond to them. In this role, you will research, recommend and assist in the architecture, design, and implementation of the hardware and software used to manage and enforce information system security controls including identity and access management as well as countermeasures. You will also respond to identified vulnerabilities and/or vendor security recommendations and coordinate with IT leadership to recommend action and implements action to remediate. Microsoft 365 experience is required, as you will be the Subject Matter Expert on the security of the Bank's Microsoft 365 tenant including Identity & Access Management, Microsoft Defender for Office & Endpoint, and Microsoft Intune, among others. You will also be able to disseminate this information to other team members and Bank staff, as appropriate. There's so much more for you, too.   • Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of security specific experience administering the M365 suite including MS Entra, Intune, Defender for EndPoint/Office, Purview, Exchange Online
  • 5+ years of Technology Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Hands-on technical Technology Operations, system and network administration experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux, Microsoft Windows 10/11 & Windows Server 2012R2+, Active Directory, firewall multi-layer design and implementation, router access list/packet filtering (Cisco), WANs, LANs, the Internet, Intranets, network protocols and network services (e.g., SSH, SFTP), IDS/IPS, software defined networks, Virtual Private Network (VPN), Enterprise Security management tools, security assessment software
  • Experience with DNS security tools, Network Access Control, Cloud delivered wireless networks (Meraki)
  • Industry Security certifications and/or security vendor certifications a plus
This is a 40 hour a week, full time position, Monday-Friday. The position is located in our operations center in Lewiston, where something is nearly always going on.
