Job Description The IT Security Intern will be a full-time (40 hours/week) opportunity for 12 weeks from May to August. As part of the internship program, students will gain additional skills to prepare them for entering the job market, including interviewing, presentations, and performance evaluation to further enhance their experience. The tasks assigned will be at a level consistent with assignments given to starting four-year college graduates. The internship will conclude with a presentation on the project and summer experience to the LCS leadership team. In addition, the intern will obtain an overall understanding and exposure to other teams and jobs at LCS. The Role:
- Work with Information Security, Infrastructure, Technical Services, and Professional Services teams
- Technology work with SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management platforms
- May work closely with a senior living community
- May work jointly with the Regional IT Security Manager on community Information Security
- No travel will be necessary
Knowledge & Skills:
- Detail oriented, ability to follow direction
- Basic computer skills (web navigation, general computer understanding, Word, Excel, email)
- Willing to learn / take on new challenges
- Interest and/or exposure to Information Security a plus
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years completed towards bachelor's degree in MIS or related field.
