We take pride in employee development and promote an energetic workplace.JOB OVERVIEW The Server Administrator I is responsible for planning, coordinating and participating in activities related to the design, development, documentation and implementation of client-server infrastructure. This includes implementing backup, business continuity, and disaster recovery systems for services and software applications within the client's infrastructure. The role also involves recommending new server strategies, such as cloud technology, within security guidelines.ESSENTIAL DutiesConfigure and install Windows Servers.Configure and install Active Directory and its components.Configure and install DNS, DHCP, Registrar, and TCP/IP server settings.Configure and install Parent/Child domains.Maintain a broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and systems, including tactical/strategic technical research (R&D) of emerging infrastructure.Collaborate with and mentor team members on the implementation of new server initiatives, providing associated training as required.Resolve problems with Microsoft Servers, Windows computers, printers, and phone systems.Communicate on all open projects and provide updates to the Director of IT and Support Desk staff.Build public and hybrid cloud-based, optimized reference applications, showcasing event-driven, elastically scalable, fault tolerance, and other cloud architecture patterns.Design, build, and implement various cloud-based technologies such as IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and XaaS (Infrastructure, Platform, Software, anything as a service).Perform other duties as assigned.Maintain open communication with co-workers, supervisors, and management, providing professional and courteous service.Maintain open communication with clients and vendors for gathering information regarding new technologies and resolving hardware/software issues.EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree in MIS, IT, related field, or related experience.EXPERIENCE:Must have experience (2-3) years of expertise in server architecture and engineering.PHYSICAL/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Sit or stand for 4-8 hours within a given day while conducting technology operations such as answering phone calls.Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, operate a computer or other office machinery.Frequently lifts, transfers, or moves up to 50 lbs. of [list applicable items such as PC hardware or software, Tablet PCs, iPads, or computer printers] daily.Must maintain all certifications (current), and attend training courses, and seminars.WORKING CONDITIONS:M-F 8am to 5pm in an indoor professional office environment.During critical times might be asked to stay late or come in earlier to support MSP support team.During special projects might be asked to work weekends or after hour support.Work in an open environment with other team members.CONCEPTUAL/INTELLECTUAL ACTIVITIES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, clearly, and/or quickly.Understand, remember, follow, and exchange basic instructions, information, and guidelines.Organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology.Dependable attendance and punctuality are necessary to perform the essential job duties.Willingness to participate in training and development opportunities to improve job knowledge of company policies, procedures, and services.Available to work [work schedule such as Monday through Friday and Saturdays as required].Dependable transportation to and from work.Flexibility and adaptability to sudden or required schedule changes to better serve [customers, clients, etc.].We offer benefits for full-time employees that include 100% paid health coverage.
