Job DescriptionThe Part Time Service Desk Technician is an entry-level support position that provides IT support for users throughout the global MAT Holdings Inc. organization. The successful candidate will use policies, procedures, and knowledge bases to analyze, diagnose, and resolve problems brought to the IT Service Desk by users from all locations. The candidate for this position will be able to leverage their education and experience and also learn from the Infrastructure team at MAT Holdings to enhance and grow their customer service and technical skill sets. This position can allow candidates to move to a full-time position with opportunities for future growth in the IT department at MAT Holdings.This is a Part-Time position, 20 -24 hours a week. Flexible shifts are available between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. M-F.Principle Responsibilities
  • Respond to customer inquiries and technical issues related to software, hardware, networking, and other IT systems
  • Respond to customer inquiries and technical issues related to software, hardware, networking, and other IT systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service by promptly, professionally, and empathetically addressing client needs.
  • Maintain detailed records of support requests, resolutions, and follow-ups using help desk software.
  • Work closely with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues as needed.
  • Provide basic training to users on software applications and best practices to prevent recurring issues.
  • Configure, deploy and document new equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate and work effectively with people of varying degrees of IT experience at all levels of the organization, internally and externally.

  • Versatile, flexible, and willing to work with constantly changing priorities.
  • Strong work ethic and a high level of integrity.
Education/Experience
  • On the path to an Associate degree or certification in MIS, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 0-2 years experience in PC administration desired.
  • Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems.
  • Microsoft Office applications.
  • Office 365 experience a plus
  • Basic computer hardware and printer experience.
