Job Summary:
The IT Services Specialist understands the importance of maintaining proper functionality of technology systems and equipment that impact patient care and end user productivity. This individual shows proficiency and/or understanding with a majority of IT systems and policies. Works with the IT team to report, troubleshoot, and resolve technology malfunctions that affect all business operations. Assists with onboarding, training, and development of other IT employees. This position also participates in the IT on call schedule.
Job Duties:
* Investigates escalated Tier 1 IT issues and identifies their source; determines possible solutions; tests and implements solutions.
* Acts as a point of escalation for system performance issues
* Works with IT leadership for weekly project tasks.
* Performs and/or oversees software and application installation and upgrades.
* Troubleshoots networks, systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
* Develops and conducts various training and instruction for system users on operating systems and other applications; assists users in maximizing use of networks and computing systems.
* Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the end-users on the network.
* Assists personnel of all departments as a technology resource.
* Contact ISP and phone vendors for service interruptions and outages.
* Program phones, set up and maintain call handlers, schedules and extensions.
* Assists with set up of new locations
* Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
* This position may require sitting or standing for extended periods, as well as bending, and reaching.
* Occasionally required to lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Associates Degree or better prefered.
* Two years of IT experience required.
* IT certifications desired.
* Experience in networking desired.
* Proven work ethic.
* Team oriented and works well with others.
* Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical personnel.
* Ability to install, configure and maintain personal computers, and related hardware and software.
* Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
