Qualifications To qualify for an IT Specialist (APPSW), your qualifications must include:Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:Performs expert level skills in IT concepts, principles, and practices to plan, direct, and evaluate projects for Automated Information Systems (AIS)Applies analytical theories, principles, concepts, methods, and techniques related to mathematical and statistical analysis to formulate and conduct studies and analysis.Possesses extensive experience in test and evaluation techniques; large-scale software deployments; and system development life cycles.Plans and coordinates efforts of government and contractors involved in research and development (R&D), technology advancements, upgrades, design, and/or developmental engineering of enterprise systems.Experience in facilitating requirements gathering within one or more business functional areas to develop a comprehensive functional and technical specifications and manage changes to requirements.Experience in developing solutions utilizing Application Program Interfaces (APIs) and various low-code development tools such as ServiceNow, etc.Experience in establishing incremental implementation strategy and technical foundation in alignment with enterprise goals.For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:1.
