We are seeking an experienced IT Specialist who will play a pivotal role in managing the Element Help Desk and providing customer assistance. We are looking for candidates with a solid background in supporting customers in bringing IT solutions in a corporate environment Experience with Windows desktop environment and MAC and IOS computers and phones is a must. This role will report to the Associate Director - IT Service Management and will be a San Diego based role. - Manage Help Desk tickets in a timely manner
- Respond to customer issues via phone, email and computer chat
- Provide customer assistance
- Document customer interactions
- Run diagnostics to resolve customer reported issues
- Escalate issues to the next Tier with next level of difficulty
- Install, make changes and repair computer hardware and software
- Follow-up with customers to ensure issues are resolved
- Great communication skills
- Genius Bar support
Education and Experience:
- 3+ years of relative industry experience, (an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered)
- Extensive experience working in windows desktop environment
- Proficiency with a MAC and IOS computers and phones
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Highly organized to keep Help desk tickets order
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic computer technical issues
- Work with software support teams
- Life science background or prior Lab experience is great
