We provide assist New Mexico government agencies, lawmakers and thepublic with in makingdata-driven decisions by providing impartial data and objective analysis accuratetraffic crash information and assist in thedecision-making process by providing data and analysis to traffic safetyofficials, lawmakers, and the public. GPS provides UNM studentswith real-life job skills that will give them a strong, competitive advantageover their peers after graduation.We are seeking a detailoriented, self-motivated students fromany degree program to contribute their expertise in the areas of IT Support. Thisposition requires an organized individual with a strong initiative to learn,attention to detail, and excellent time management skills. In addition tobuilding a marketable resume other jobs perks include flexible work hours andregular pay increases with marked progress.Minimum QualificationsEnrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.Preferred QualificationsMinimum Qualifications•Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, at leasthalf-time (6 hours).•Can work a minimum of 10-15 hours a week.•Knowledge in computer hardware, audio/visual andcommunication equipment, storage devices, network printer & scanner setup.•Experience with Windows environments including applicationinstallation and configuration, troubleshooting and diagnostics, updates,repair and rollbacks, knowledge with software package managers like MS Store,winget, chocolatey, or CLI packager manager for Windows.•Ability to maintain confidentiality of records andinformation as well as able follow instructions and adhere to protocols andprocedures.•Works as a team member with staff and/or other studentemployees on various projects.•Willing to perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.Preferred Qualifications•System Management and Networking skill in activeDirectory, SCCM, Intune, manage users and delegate permissions and access basedon roles and project authorization.•Desktop support software including Microsoft Office Suite,presentation and screen capture software, GlobalProtect VPN, mediaapplications, PowerBI, ArcGIS, ArcPro, ArcOnline, QGIS, FTP client, GitHub,Kofax client and server, SQL Server and SQL Management Studio.•Experience with security applications and proceduresincluding AntiVirus software management, mitigation and control, preventivepractices, VPN configuration and management, OS level Firewalls knowledge,server/VM firewall configuration.•Knowledgeable in programming languages Visual basic, Phyton,SQL scripting, Java or R.Application InstructionsOnly applications submitted throughthe official UNMJobs site will be accepted.If you are viewing this jobadvertisement on a 3rd party site, pleasevisit UNMJobs to submit an application.Please include a cover letter & resume in addition to a copy of your class schedule.The University of New Mexico is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
