Job Description:
With over 40 years of experience, AA Asphalting has become the Pacific Northwest's leading asphalt and concrete restoration provider with six operating locations serving our local communities in Washington and Oregon. Our team provides quality workmanship and outstanding service to our customers who are represented by public utilities, government agencies, general contractors, and businesses.We are looking for an IT Specialist to join our team. The IT Specialist will install and upgrade system components, set up software for the Company and employees, resolve IT and hardware issues, and assist in network administration.Our IT Specialist will be expected to:
  • Provide installation, maintenance, and ensure operation of all devices including laptop/desktop computers, cell phones, iPads, printers/copiers, etc.
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, email addresses, and software access levels to enable employees to perform work efficiently. Adhere to all software licensing restrictions.
  • Provide support for Windows and Mac computers, MS Office 365 applications, Adobe products, and additional company software.
  • Install and configure software and hardware components of computer and network systems.
  • Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement improvements to optimize productivity.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams, including troubleshooting systems, network, and hardware issues.
  • Implement and ensure security and privacy of networks and systems; manage data backup and system security operations; and monitor security certificates and company compliance of requirements.
  • Support remote users accessing virtual desktop infrastructure.
  • Maintain allocation and inventory of all devices (laptop/desktop computers, iPads, cell phones, etc.).
  • Perform regular maintenance of computer systems, network systems, phone systems, printers/copiers, and any other technical equipment.
  • Develop vendor relationships and comply with specific maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating software, hardware, and devices.

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.
The ideal IT Specialist will have the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; 3+ years of related experience and/or training in IT; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Windows, Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive), MacOS.
  • Must have strong troubleshooting abilities and knowledge of networking concepts.
  • Expert knowledge of iPhone and Android mobile phones.
  • Working knowledge of various operating systems, hardware, software, and programming languages.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, and active listening.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with members of the team who have different technology abilities.
  • Ability to present technical information to all members of the team.
