Duties You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/SYSADMIN) in the MESSAGE CENTER (N31), OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT (N3) of Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station, Pacific (NCTAMS PAC).You will assist the N31 Technical Director in a wide variety of system hardware management and software analysis.You will analyze and manage system requirements and troubleshooting for the department.You will maintain and validate the Command and Control Official Information Exchange (C20IX) system including installing security patches, ensuring proper configuration and conducting backup/restoral of system data.You will assist N31 Technical Director by providing detailed and concise training to all NCTAMS PAC personnel in relation to C20IX.You will manage all C20IX training documentation.You will ensure all training is in compliance with established directives.You will perform a variety of functions supporting a wide range of System End-to-End Management issues.You will supervise staff in the Pacific Messaging Center Division by providing general guidance and setting deadlines for subordinates.You will review work, set standards, evaluate work performance and develop/implement individual training plans.You will initiate personnel actions, interview candidates and make recommendations for employee selection.Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a US Citizen.Must be determined suitable for federal employment.Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.This is a Cyberspace Workforce position work role code SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR, proficiency level INTERMEDIATE.Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required.You must successfully complete a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph with No Deception Indicated (NDI).You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics.Qualifications Applicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position.
