The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full Time, Information Technology (IT) Specialist (GS-2210-11), to perform as Systems Administrator / Systems Duty Officer, at the 2nd Systems Operations Squadron, on Offutt Air Force Base (AFB) in Bellevue, Nebraska.

Salary ($73,247 - $95,221) based on experience.

Qualifications/Requirements:,p>In this position you will serve as a senior systems administrator with responsibility for planning and coordinating the installation, testing, modifying, upgrading, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.•Must be a U.S. Citizen•Must be able to obtain & maintain a “Top Secret” Security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).• Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate Information Assurance certification within 6-months of assigned duties.•This position is designated as a Drug Test Designated Position.•This is a Key Position. Active Guard and Reserve personnel may not apply or become a member of the Ready Reserves.• Knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices for integrating information system components sufficient to plan, coordinate, and administer computer systems, and optimize system performance.• Knowledge of the latest advancements in technology to initiate corrective or preventative action to ensure optimum performance of the system.• Knowledge of performance tuning tools, database management, and project management methods sufficient to optimize systems performance, troubleshoot database performance problems, and perform a wide range of systems administration functions.• Knowledge of operating systems, associated devices, and the interoperability of systems sufficient to install, upgrade, troubleshoot, test, and maintain those systems; to optimize the functionality and performance of systems; and to ensure the availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability of servers.• Ability to apply methods and practices for troubleshooting, recovering, adjusting, modifying, and improving systems to solve complex problems and provide support that minimizes interruptions in service to customer.
