Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for IT Student Facilitator Assistant - Institutional Student Worker on the Dahlonega campus. The IT Student Facilitator provides technical support for audio/visual and video communication systems used in distance learning classes within the Nursing Department. This role involves setting up, troubleshooting, and maintaining A/V equipment to ensure seamless instructional delivery, offering prompt, customer-focused assistance to faculty, staff, and students. The facilitator acts as the primary technical resource for A/V needs, contributing to the smooth operation of virtual and in-person learning environments.
Responsibilities
* Provides technical support to faculty, staff, and students by assisting with audio-visual, presentation, and instructional technology equipment.
* Responsibilities include troubleshooting and setting up A/V systems, supporting virtual classes via Zoom and Microsoft Teams, and assisting instructors with classroom technology for distance learning.
* The role also involves performing other related duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of instructional technology.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
* Knowledge of Windows and Macintosh operating systems, as well as experience with peripheral installation.
* Familiarity with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and audio/visual equipment and cabling is also preferred.
* The role requires the ability to multitask, manage workloads, and meet deadlines.
* The candidate must be able to move around campus, work in office environments, communicate effectively over the phone, lift up to 50 pounds, and possess a valid U.S. driver's license to operate vans and carts as needed.
Required Qualifications
* Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in the minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
* A minimum of one year of experience in an IT and/or Audio/Visual environment, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the role.
