Main Purpose of the Job
The IT Support Engineer is responsible for providing 1st/2nd line support to users and their computing all locations.
Role and Responsibilities
* Identify and resolve software, hardware, and network problems encountered by users.Using the IT ticket system to mange workflows, contact users and complete IT tickets or requests
* Set up computers, install new hardware, operating systems, and software programs to the company standards.
* Assist employees and customers with IT-related queries and problems.
* Co-ordination with external 3rd party service providers.
* Remote support for primarily for local users, but globally as required.
* Printer and MFP support and management
* Support for Lab Machines & associated equipment
* Asset registration
* Door access control system administration
* Other duties as assigned.
Essential Candidate Requirements
* Previous experience working in environment supporting IT equipment.
* General PC/Laptop usage experience required
* Experience with device management (Phones, tablets, meeting room displays, printers)
* Experience with Windows 10/11 desktop installation & upgrades essential
* Microsoft Office 365 administration.
* Active Directory administration.
* Office application suite.
* Communication Applications (MS Teams or Zoom)
Desirable Candidate Requirements
* IT related experience/qualifications (e.g. A+).
* Experience of working as an EUC Technician or similar experience.
* Capability to author and update infrastructure, support and procedural documentation.
* Working knowledge of business desktop technologies.
* Helpdesk Administration
* Microsoft Windows network environment (DNS, DHCP, etc)
* Cloud (AWS/Azure) exposure
* WiFi/Networking troubleshooting.
This is a hybrid role, you will need your own transport to be able to get to our site.
