TIAG is offering an opportunity for an IT Support Intern to join our team at our Headquarters in Reston, VA. This internship opportunity is geared toward individuals who can ideally commit a full-time work schedule during core business hours. Start date of the internship is targeted for January 2025-May 2025.
Responsibilities for this Internship will span Information Technology as well as Cybersecurity. In this position, the intern will learn how our organization runs our Corporate IT function. Intern responsibilities may include:
* Support the purchasing of IT/office equipment, such as laptops, printers, phone systems, etc.
* Assist with laptop setup, software installations, and email configuration.
* Provide assistance and management with G Suite business account and email
* administration.
* Provide assistance and management with Azure Active Directory administration.
* Provide support for Cisco VoIP systems and phones.
* Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve problems related to: computer hardware failure, operating systems, software applications, printers/faxes, phones, and network issues.
* Use knowledge of Mac and PCs to diagnose, resolve, or escalate incidents and requests in a timely manner.
* Use ticketing system to respond to user requests, track workload, and maintenance accurate status of ongoing initiatives.
* Help to track and maintain accurate account of inventory for all corporate assets.
* Perform basic cloud management functions.
* Help to manage GFE assets for specific government contracts.
* Assist in creating and maintaining SOPs, support documentation, and training materials.
* Assist in maintaining compliance with TIAG policies and procedures, as well as any externally mandated facility and/or cybersecurity requirements.
* Assist with various security and compliance activities such as:
* Manage vulnerability scanning across networks and devices.
* Remediate vulnerabilities as they are identified.
* Support the implementation of security best practices on all TIAG equipment.
* Support the implementation of security policies in coordination with TIAG leadership.
* Support other teams in their initiatives for security and compliance.
* Support the implementation of security tools.
* Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Understanding:
* Eligibility aligns with a student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in a field related to Information Technology, Computer Science and/or Cybersecurity
* Able to demonstrate excellent problem solving and analytical skills
* Outstanding oral and written communication
* Possess the ability and willingness to work alongside senior team members and managers to further your professional development
* Demonstrated experience in an IT Customer service or help desk support preferred.
