Position Title:IT Support Specialist
Salary Range: IT Support Specialist I, Grade 5, non-exempt, $27.19 - $35.35 per hour, commensurate with experience.IT Support Specialist II, Grade 7, non-exempt, $31.13 - $40.47 per hour, commensurate with experience.IT Support Specialist III, Grade 9, exempt, $71,047.09 - $99,465.92 per fiscal year, commensurate with experience.
Job Description Summary:This position is responsible for providing technical support and incident resolution.The IT Specialist II and III will also assist in the creation of user and IT process, procedural documentation, and act as an escalation point for IT Support Specialist I and/or IT Specialist II.
Job Description: Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide IT technical support and incident resolution to our internal customers.
- Receive and act on calls from internal technology users to support and resolve technical related issues.
- Follow incident management and service request policies and procedures to support effective incident recording and tracking.
- Deliver consistent quality service to internal technology users.
- Keep end users informed on request or incident status and progress.
- Assess all technical support requests/incidents to resolve them or escalate them to third-party support groups as appropriate, based on agreed operational and service level agreements.
- Contribute to IT process and service changes by identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Identify and document end user training requirements and education needs to help reduce incident volume.
- Add to and update our internal knowledge base that is used by IT Support and end users to effectively share technical knowledge.
- Provide training, support, and assistance with meeting room technology, and online meetings. Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Job Description:Required Qualifications- AA or AS degree in information technology or related fieldORA combination of IT related post-secondary and/or professional education and demonstrated relevant work experience in help desk support equivalent to a total of two (2) years.
- Strong aptitude for technical problem solving and customer service.
- Understanding of current applications and trends in PC support.
In addition to the above, the IT Support Specialist II required qualifications include:
- AA or AS degree in information technology or related field AND a minimum of three (3) years of help desk support experienceORA combination of IT related post-secondary and/or professional education and demonstrated relevant work experience in help desk support equivalent to a total of five (5) years.
- Three (3) years of experience with some of the following technologies: Windows operating system, Android and Apple cellular and tablet operating systems.
- One (1) year of experience with some of the following technologies: Microsoft 365 administration, Microsoft Azure, Crestron, Logitech meeting and conference room technologies.
In addition to the above, the IT Support Specialist III required qualifications include:
- AA or AS degree in information technology or related field AND a minimum of six (6) years of help desk support experience OR
- A combination of IT related post-secondary and/or professional education and demonstrated relevant work experience in help desk support equivalent to a total of eight (8) years.
- Six (6) years of experience with some of the following technologies: Windows operating system, Android and Apple cellular and tablet operating systems.
Preferred Qualifications- AA or AS degree in information technology or related field and two (2) years' experience in help desk support.
In addition to the above, the IT Support Specialist II preferred qualifications include:
- AA or AS degree in information technology or related field and five (5) years' experience in help desk support.
- Five (5) years of experience with some of the following technologies: Windows operating system, Android and Apple cellular and tablet operating systems.
- Three (3) years of experience with some of the following technologies: Microsoft 365 administration, Microsoft Azure, Crestron, Logitech meeting and conference room technologies.
- Experience with audio/video demonstration technologies
In addition to the above, the IT Support Specialist III preferred qualifications include:
- AA or AS degree in information technology or related field and eight (8) years of experience in help desk support.
- Eight (8) years of experience with some of the following technologies: Windows operating system, Android and Apple cellular and tablet operating systems and devices.
- Five (5) years of experience with some of the following technologies: Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Intune, Crestron, Logitech meeting and conference room technologies.

- This is a hybrid position, and is subject to Sourcewell's telecommuting policies and procedures. This role is expected to have some duties onsite which will require you to commute to our headquarters regularly, perhaps 2-3 days per week.
- The ideal candidate must be within a reasonable 2-3 hour driving distance from Staples, MN.
- On occasion may be expected to attend meetings or trainings at Sourcewell's headquarters in Staples, MN, advance notice would be given to team member.
