IT Support Specialist
This position requires an active Secret clearance.
The IT Support Specialist will provide complete IT support to the 633 CONS Squadron. This support may include working issues associated with software, hardware, peripherals, and/or office equipment. The IT Support Specialist will also ensure Cybersecurity awareness and adherence to regulations and associated policies by all personnel within the Squadron and work closely with 633 CONS IT support team to prioritize and address a wide range of IT issues as they arise.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for IT Support Specialist: Range starts at $58,000
Pay commensurate with experience.

IT Support Specialist Responsibilities Include:
- Administer information systems
- Monitor ongoing operation of network systems to ensure hardware and software are functioning properly
- Identify and promptly resolve network-related problems; troubleshoot hardware, software, Wide Area Network (WAN), and Local Area Network (LAN) problems
- Promptly respond to user trouble calls relating to hardware, software, and connectivity to minimize disruptions
- Recommend corrective action to be taken
- Work with applications programmers and operations personnel to identify problems with applications, operating systems, or hardware that are difficult to pinpoint
- Develop, manage, and maintain Worldwide Web pages and SharePoint sites
- Work in conjunction with 633 CONS IT team to develop LAN performance plans/strategies, policies, and standard operating procedures
- Ensure that work progresses to meet required deadlines and respond to adjustments in processing due to changes in priorities; perform account management by giving users the appropriate group, organizational account, and distribution list access
- Provision and/or de-provision new and separating users; set up and/or relocate hardware (workstations, printers, etc.) as required
- Provide training and assistance for new computer systems, software, or hardware
- Monitor and maintain inventory of computer and associated equipment assets
- Assist with information security; assist in security plans, procedures, and training to comply with Air Force and Department of Defense (DoD) standards.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
IT Support Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
Requirements:
- Experience: At least 4 years in Information Assurance (IA) technology or a related field, preferably in the U.S. Air Force, military, or DoD setting.
- Education:
- Associate degree required.
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field preferred.
- Certification: Security+ certification is mandatory.
- Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of network and information systems operations, demonstrated through documented training, certifications, or experience.
- Ability to assist users with applications or quickly find solutions when needed.
- Familiarity with software like MS-DOS, Windows 7, Vista, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to maintain a professional, harmonious workplace.
- Effective communication, briefing, and customer service skills.
- Must have a customer-service mindset with a focus on supporting mission success.
Additional Requirements:
- Must have an active secret clearance and be a US Citizen per our government client
- Must pass Cherokee Federal pre-employment qualifications.
- Schedule M-F days
- 100% on-site requirement
- No travel required
